Dr. Gail E. Wyatt, a Clinical Psychologist, is a board certified Sex Therapist and Professor of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Behavior at UCLA. She directs the Center for Culture, Trauma and Mental Health Disparities and the Sexual Health Programs. Dr. Wyatt has published well over 250 publications, written six books and has provided Congressional testimony 10 times. Stolen Women: Reclaiming our Sexuality, Taking Back our Lives published by Wiley and Sons, is a best-seller that details the effects of slavery and oppression on African American women today.
Dr. Kendra Segura is a board certified OB/GYN MD and is also an entrepreneur, author, motivational speaker, mentor, wife and mother. Holding a Master’s Degree of Public Health, she has worked for the Los Angeles county health department, where she performed disease surveillance and health education. In 2018 she co-wrote The Chronicles of Women in White Coats which inspired women globally in their medical pursuits and dreams. The newest addition to Bravo’s hit television show Married To Medicine: Los Angeles, Segura continues to inspire women to take control of their health by becoming informed and empowered. Physician Assistant, Cynthia Francis, joined T.H.E. in January 2010. Ms. Francis graduated from Charles Drew Postgraduate Medical School and brings to T.H.E. Health and Wellness Centers and her patients a wealth of experience in chronic disease management, obstetrics, and family practice medicine. Ms. Francis’s commitment to T.H.E.’s patients and the South Los Angeles community is unprecedented by her ongoing passion and willingness to learn and hone her skills to provide the best care to her patients, who are often the most in need with minimal resources.
Dr. Cheryl Wisseh is a primary care clinical pharmacist at To Help Everyone, a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California at Irvine School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences and an Assistant Professor in the College of Medicine at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. In her role as a clinical pharmacist, she focuses on comprehensive medication management across chronic diseases commonly seen in primary care/family medicine.
